Denmark beginning public hearings on alternative route for Nord Stream 2

The Danish Energy Agency has published an environmental impact study on the Danish section of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline on the environment, the project company said in a statement.

The Danish public, the authorities and public organizations may file comments or ask questions with respect to the study via the Danish Energy Agency through December 12, and the Agency’s website can be visited for additional information. Along with the study, Nord Stream 2 AG has filed an application with the Agency requesting permission for construction.

The public will take part in discussing a 175-kilometer section of the planned Nord Stream 2 offshore gas pipeline to the northwest of the island of Bornholm in Denmark’s exclusive economic zone.
